What the Telegram verification email looks like

Telegram normally delivers its login codes inside the app. An email code appears when you set up or confirm an email address for the account, for example a login email or a recovery email. The mail comes from an address at telegram.org and carries a 5 or 6 digit code.

MailSMMO's Telegram rule reads a 5 or 6 digit number, optionally preceded by the words "Login code", so the code is extracted without opening the message.

When you need a Gmail address for Telegram

• Adding an email as a login method for a Telegram account.
• Confirming a recovery email so you can regain access later.
• Verifying an email address during account setup flows that ask for one.
• Receiving the code from a bot or tool that signs in to Telegram with email verification.

Tips for getting the Telegram code on the first try

• Create the order first, then request the code on Telegram. Only mail that arrives after the order exists is read, and the order lives for a 10-minute window by default.
• Watch the order on the web or in Telegram, or poll GET /orders/otp about every 2 seconds from your tool. The code appears the moment the mail is received.
• Rent the address first, then enter it in Telegram (Settings, then the email option) and ask for the code. Only mail that arrives after the order exists is picked up.
• Telegram's code is 5 or 6 digits. If the screen asks for a different length, you are probably looking at a code from another flow, so request a new one.

Price, window and refund for Telegram

You pay the price shown at the top of this page when the order is created, for that single order. The default window is 10 minutes, and a code that arrived inside the window can still be read afterwards.

If no code arrives, the money goes back automatically: about 30 seconds after the window ends for Gmail from our own stock, and for Gmail bought from an external supplier as soon as that supplier reports the order expired. An order that received a code is never refunded, and orders cannot be cancelled.

Rent Gmail for Telegram through the API

Create an order with the service code otp_gmail_telegram, use the returned Gmail address on the site, then poll for the code. Reading the code needs only the order ID. The full reference is in the API docs.
