What the Microsoft verification email looks like

Microsoft sends its account emails from an address at microsoft.com and puts the code right after the words "Security code". The code is 6 or 7 digits, which is what MailSMMO's Microsoft rule reads.

The wording "Security code" appears in the subject and the body, so there is no link to click: copy the digits into the Microsoft page that is waiting.

When you need a Gmail address for Microsoft

  • Creating a Microsoft account (Outlook, Xbox, Office, Azure) with an existing email address.
  • Verifying the email you add as security info for an account.
  • Signing in from a new device when Microsoft asks for an emailed code.
  • Recovering an account where the code is sent to the alternate email.

Tips for getting the Microsoft code on the first try

  • Create the order first, then request the code on Microsoft. Only mail that arrives after the order exists is read, and the order lives for a 10-minute window by default.
  • Watch the order on the web or in Telegram, or poll GET /orders/otp about every 2 seconds from your tool. The code appears the moment the mail is received.
  • Microsoft sends a new code each time you ask, and older codes stop working. Always use the newest mail.
  • Open the Microsoft sign-up or security page first, then create the order, so the 10-minute window is spent on the code and not on navigating.

Price, window and refund for Microsoft

You pay the price shown at the top of this page when the order is created, for that single order. The default window is 10 minutes, and a code that arrived inside the window can still be read afterwards.

If no code arrives, the money goes back automatically: about 30 seconds after the window ends for Gmail from our own stock, and for Gmail bought from an external supplier as soon as that supplier reports the order expired. An order that received a code is never refunded, and orders cannot be cancelled.

Rent Gmail for Microsoft through the API

Create an order with the service code otp_gmail_microsoft, use the returned Gmail address on the site, then poll for the code. Reading the code needs only the order ID. The full reference is in the API docs.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Microsoft security code email look like?

It comes from an address at microsoft.com and has the words "Security code" followed by 6 or 7 digits.

Can I use this Gmail for a Microsoft account?

Yes. The assigned address is a real @gmail.com plus-address that Microsoft can email like any other, so it works as the security email for the flow.

Can I rent a Gmail for Microsoft through the API?

Yes. Create an order with service=otp_gmail_microsoft, use the returned address on the Microsoft page, then read the code with the order ID. See the example above.

How much does a Gmail for Microsoft cost?

The live price per order and the stock are shown at the top of this page and on the pricing page. You are charged when the order is created, nothing more.

What if the Microsoft code never arrives?

You get your money back automatically. For Gmail from our own stock the refund follows about 30 seconds after the 10-minute window ends; for Gmail from an external supplier it follows that supplier's refund. You do not need to ask.
